FS#10669 — ESXi 5.5u1 and NFS
Incident Report for Hosted Private Cloud
Resolved
A security alert has been raised by VMware regarding the ESXi 5.5 hosts update 1 and use of NFS datastores. The hosts may lose the connection to the datastores, causing blue screens on Windows and read-only filesystems on Linux.

Dedicated Clouds are delivered in version 5.5 and are not affected. We advise our customers to not use the vSphere update manager to update hosts in version 5.5 update 1.
If you have already updated your hosts via update manager, please create an incident ticket. We will exchange hosts in version 5.5u1 for hosts in 5.5.

We are working together with VMware to resolve the problem quickly.
