FS#5739 — Half-duplex Superplan 2011 / Kimsufi 16G
Scheduled Maintenance Report for Bare Metal Cloud
Completed
It is about the motherboard Superplan 2011 and Kimsufi 16G.

Following an incompatibility of the network card( NIC) Intel with the ports 100 Mbps (regardless of the switch), we were forced to fix temporarily the port in half-duplex (or we could have losses of packets).

We opened an incident at Intel and sent several copies of the servers involved,so they reproduce the problem (usual procedure).
Intel has released a new version of the e1000 driver and we checked actually that it was correcting the problem.

A new version of OVH kernel is available: 2.6.38.2 #2
ftp://ftp.ovh.net/made-in-ovh/bzImage/
Please check this guide http://help.ovh.co.uk/KernelInstall

The netboot has been updated(you only need to reboot the server).
http://help.ovh.co.uk/KernelNetboot

Once your kernel updated (or server rebooted), please open a ticket to request the release of half-duplex:
