In order to simplify our backbone and prioritize the 100G, we are considering the possibility of cutting our peering links with Orange (AS3215) to Lyon (2x10G) and Bordeaux (1x10G).
The last ones are gradually full so we have 2x100G with the French operator to TH2 and GSW.
We started with Bordeaux on Monday, August 8th (Orange traffic in the morning and incoming traffic in the afternoon).
We will now cut Lyon:
- OVH traffic -> Orange Lyon outgoing today at noon
- Orange traffic Lyon -> OVH in the afternoon.
Thank you for your feedback regarding latency and the overall quality of exchanges.
Update(s):
Date: 2016-08-10 15:33:00 UTC OVH -> Lyon done.
From 4 measurements carried out, we have detected a slight improvement: -2ms, -1ms, -1ms and -0ms
