FS#5095 — rbx-g1a/1b/2a/2b nexus 5010
Scheduled Maintenance Report for Network & Infrastructure
Completed
We have got 2 bugs in the channel port updating
between the N5 and A9:
- channel port in LACP does not function
- sometimes we have the message
command failed: port not compatible [DCE mode]

rbx-g1b-n5(config-if)# conf t
rbx-g1b-n5(config)# interface Ethernet1/5
rbx-g1b-n5(config-if)# channel-group 1
command failed: port not compatible [DCE mode]

Update(s):

Date: 2011-03-28 04:17:44 UTC
Done.

ipv6 to be added on the intercos.

Remains to add few links 10G between some routers in Roubaix valley and the infrastructure of routing. The aim is to have the full capacity of routing.

We're going to change the switch's settings and routers in order to use the network in /30 instead of /25. There's a lot of problems with an only one network 4x, with multiple routes and OSPF which loses the ball especially in IPv6. Example:
http://status.ovh.net/?do=details&id=1201

We're going to migrate kindly. Without disruption. We have 4 links to switch x 11 routers. It's been more than 100 re-settings.
Briefly, it will take much more of a sleepless night.

s3, s4 done.

Date: 2011-02-14 12:00:42 UTC
We finished s3.

Date: 2011-02-08 17:53:57 UTC
It is connected on the s4.

Date: 2011-02-02 11:14:28 UTC
We have updated the N5 with the latest version
version 5.0(2)N2(1)
The updating is ISSU. It nice :)
The problem of DCE is fixed.

We are trying to fix the problem of LACP now.

Date: 2011-02-02 11:12:22 UTC
For the 2nd problem:
LLDP feature cannot be disabled globally but you can disable LLDP receive/transmit on a per interface basis.
I see you are getting error when you try to add a channel-group to an interface in a Nexus 5000 running 5.0(2)N1(1)

rbx-g1b-n5(config-if)# conf t
rbx-g1b-n5(config)# interface Ethernet1/5
rbx-g1b-n5(config-if)# channel-group 1
command failed: port not compatible [DCE mode]

There is a bug for this issue which is fixed in 5.0(2)N2(1) which is on CCO. Here is the bug details
